Gordon Eastop

Gordon has been a member of the Gillespie family since 2001, with his wife Rachel and son Sam, and is part of the Eldership at GMC. He brings his passion for music to co-ordinating the praise in Gillespie (GMC), and is part of the team regularly leading worship at GMC services.

My faith has been the bedrock of my life. I came to know the Lord in my mid-teens, and am so grateful for His grace, love and guidance throughout my life. Brought up in Croftfoot United Free Church of Scotland in Glasgow, but with work moving me around the UK, I spent a time in evangelical Church of England churches in Bristol and Ipswich. Throughout this time the Lord has developed and improved my musical gifts in praise bands, then into Worship leading which I have done regularly at Gillespie since 2004, along with others. I have also been inspired to write a few praise songs, some of which are used on occasions in our worship at Gillespie.

I work in IT for Lloyds Banking Group and bring experience gained in dealing with people and communications within a large organisation to the team at GMC.
